WASSOOKEAG RETRIEVERS in Dixmont, Maine offers professional custom training programs for all retrievers. The level of care and service we offer each retriever is unsurpassed.
We use a positive, motivational method of teaching in a pleasant environment. Limited enrollment ensures your retriever will reach it's fullest potential in a timely manner.  Our clients are always welcome and encouraged to visit and observe or participate in training.

WASSOOKEAG offers BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAMS year round
as well as PRIVATE LESSONS where we will work with you and your dog on an individual basis.  GROUP CLASSES are offered with 6-week sessions beginning in May and August.

Classes at WASSOOKEAG are conducted by Dave Robichaud - an avid waterfowler and Professional Retriever Trainer. The Robichauds have earned over 100 Hunt Test and Obedience titles on Retrievers since 1991.  Our classes are six weeks long, fun, informative and perfect for getting your Retriever Puppy or Young Dog started on his retrieving skills under professional guidance.  These classes are designed around the participants and focus on beginner and intermediate level retrieving skills on land and water to prepare for next hunting season or AKC hunt testing.

Pre-registration is required - class size is limited
Wassookeag's Full-Day Seminars for Puppies and Young Dogs
will be offered in April, July and September 2011 to get your pup off to the right start for basic obedience, hunting and hunt tests.

We are planning two more YOUTH FUN DAYS for 2011.  These enjoyable day-long sessions are dedicated to young “handlers” and their dogs.  The purpose of these fun-filled events is to introduce junior handlers to the joys of working with and training their Retrievers.  Our 2011 YOUTH FUN DAYS will be scheduled during the Summer months  E-mail us to obtain a flyer or to be added to our announcement list!

Whether your goal is to have a proficient duck hunting companion, hunt test dog or obedient family pet, Wassookeag Retrievers of ME will be happy to work with you.
We will evaluate your retriever free of charge and then design a custom program based on his individual temperament and your personal goals.
Private lessons for you and your retriever can also be arranged.
